First, it was never my intent to “politisize” this site. This site is an outlet to share great products at different price ranges that I love and may have helped develop it’s business.

Politicians show a lack of discipline to discuss in clear concise terms policy positions and how to execute. It is up to the citizens to speak out. Another flaw is using lies, falsehoods, innuendo, gossip, hacking, conspiracy theories, non-fact based driven arguments to convince, educate, manipulate the electorate. What is frustrating however, this strategy has worked.

Regardless of political affiliation, I encourage you to read this with an open mind. Before reading further, it is my responsibility to let you know I am a Democrat and encourage respectful debate based on facts.

A little about me, I am first generation Mexican-American born in San Luis Potosi Mexico. Myself and 2 of my siblings were born in Mexico and yes, I have my papers, and I am a US citizen. My other 2 siblings were born in the US. I am also a gay man that never “officially” came out to his family due to fear on how they would react. This fear was not based on any fact of their treatment of me. They love me without condition and it took me a long time to realize that.

Over the last couple of months, my fears from earlier in life have resurfaced due to the outcome of this election. Growing up, my life was filled with bullying, name calling, fear and sometimes pure hate, but this was overshadowed by the LOVE my parents filled our lives with.

As Catholics, we went to mass every Sunday and were sent to parochial school. We were taught love, kindness, empathy, understanding, generosity, truth, leadership among other things from our parents and our Church / School. All of this produced 5 pretty well balanced adults.

So this brings me to now.

America Already Is Great

The Republican Party, prior to the 1960’s, advocated classic liberalism and are progressive. The Republican base initially was White Protestants and African Americans and the first Presidential Candidate received close to no votes in the South.

Civil Rights

As a progressive party, Republicans accomplish great things:

Emancipation Proclamation – 1863 End of the Civil War – 1865 Women’s Right to Vote – 1872 Victory in the Spanish American War – 1898 Construction of Panama Canal – 1904 Construction of the Hoover Dam – 1928 First Woman Elected to US House of Representatives – 1916 Jessie Owens 4 Gold Medals – 1936 Jackie Robinson First Black American Play Major Leagues – 1947 Interstate Highway System – 1956 Desegregation of Schools – 1957 First Asian American US Senator – 1959 Civil Rights Act of 1960

Women's Rights

The core base of the party shifts after the Civil Rights Act of 1964 – to where it is today

America Already Is Great American Flag

Election Results

Citizens Vote:

Secretary Clinton: 63,605,253

Leads by 1,668,147 and continues to climb

Mr. Trump:

My Opinion:

America voted exactly as directed by the Russians and media.

The election was not lost because there was no economic plan – Secretary Clinton detailed out a very impressive plan:

Massive Upgrade to Infrastructure, Build the US Alternative Energy Sector to lead the world, Profit Sharing

My Opinion:

No one knows about the plan, because the media focused on Russian hacked content and alleged scandals.

November 2008 brings the United States, President Obama. Many people, myself included are enthusiastic and excited that decades of discrimination will end.

November 5, 2016, this Facebook post shows up on my feed: “President Obama and the First Lady are described as “Deplorables” because of 8 years and 3 accomplishments: Making School Lunches Inedible, Insurance Unaffordable and Police Lives Unimportant. Be Proud Libetards.”

My Opinion:

Growing up Catholic, I was taught to live my life by the Golden Rule, and struggle every day with this: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”

Adjective: “very bad in a way that causes shock, fear, or disgust deserving to be deplored”

My Opinion:

Blatant obstruction of a President before they enter office. One can interpret obstructing President Obama is a strategy to get more “Republican wins” in more elections, including the presidency.

The Republican Party Leaders vow to obstruct President Obama from the beginning of his first term. Regardless if the legislation is in line with the Republican Party’s agenda or helps citizens, they say NO.

Senator Mitch McConnell:

October 2010 “The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president.”

March 2016 “I believe the overwhelming view of the Republican Conference in the Senate is that this nomination should not be filled, this vacancy should not be filled by this lame duck president. The American people are perfectly capable of having their say on this issue, so let’s give them a voice. Let’s let the American people decide. The Senate will appropriately revisit the matter when it considers the qualifications of the nominee the next president nominates, whoever that might be,” McConnell said.

John Boehner – regarding President Obama’s Agenda:

“We’re going to do everything — and I mean everything we can do — to kill it, stop it, slow it down, whatever we can.”

What has become of the Republican Party?

Quote from a supporter of Mr. Trump before 2nd National Debate. What she said, made me speechless: “We are at an abyss, this is an issue of National Security, it has been like this since November of 2008.”

Despite all the efforts to OBSTRUCT President Obama, there are significant accomplishments:

Murders -769

Violent Crime -16%

Gun Purchases +58%

Gun Purchases is a pretty big increase especially since President Obama was “supposed to round up all the guns.”

Added 10.7M jobs and jobless rate dropped below historical medians.

George W. Bush added 1.3M jobs

Bill Clinton added 23M jobs

Job Openings +112%

Unemployment rate is 5% and at the end of 2008, unemployment was 7.3%

16.5M fewer people without Health Insurance – before anyone starts railing about premiums. Where do you think this would be if there had been strong bi-partisan support?

Corporate Profits +144%;

S&P 500 +167%

Handgun Production +134%

US Crude Production +78%

Petroleum Imports -58%

Median Home Income +2%; Weekly Earings +4.2% Exports +28%

Wind & Solar Power +342% and is more than 5% of US Electricity and Solar Output.

Osama Bin Laden – ELIMINATED

Saved the Auto Industry

Debt +125%

My Opinion:

The Atlantic makes a good argument of Mr. Trump being an Authoritarian:

“Facism grew in the 1930’s not because it was strong. It grew because Democracy was weak.” -Steve Schmidt, Republican Strategist

Characteristics of FACISM

Powerful Nationalism; Disdain for Human Rights; Identify Enemies as Unifying – for example: Religious Minorities; liberals; socialists; Supremacy of Military: disproportionate government funding; Rampant Sexism – oppose abortion rights, homophobic, have anti-gay legislation as national policy; Controlled Mass Media – controlled by government; Obsession with National Security – using fear as a tool; Religion and Government Intertwined -used as tool to manipulate public opinion; Corporate Power Protected; Labor Power Suppressed; Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts; Obsession with Crime and Punishment – police have almost limitless power – people give up civil liberties in the name of patriotism; Cronyism and Corruption; Fraudulent Elections – Smear Campaigns, Assassinations, Manipulation of Media and use Judiciary to manipulate and control elections.

Characteristics of Authoritarianism

Governs those without their consent; Little or no freedom of speech; No freedom to assemble without approval from government; No freedom of movement without documents inside the country; No freedom to travel abroad; No independent judicial system; No independent judicial system; All information is censored; Opposition to regime is harshly punished

The Dismantling of NATO – the primary goal of Mr. Putin and Mr. Trump shows disturbing support. Recent reporting shows NATO is ok.

From the 1950’s to 1990’s, we knew Russia as an enemy trying to undermine our democracy through propaganda, spying and increased threats of war.

Their government is an Authoritarian style using fear and oppression to control the people. We lived in fear Russia would invade us threatening our freedoms and way of life.

They continue to force their initiatives across Europe and with a president under their control – the freedoms we enjoy today will be systematically taken from us just like Russia infiltrates countries.

My Opinion

Make No Mistake: Vladimir Putin is not our friend

In case anyone has forgotten the Air Raid drills we did in school:

Throughout the campaign Mr. Trump insists he does not know and has never met Vladimir Putin.

May 2014 Mr. Trump:

“spoke, indirectly and directly, with President Putin.”

November 2015 Mr. Trump:

“got to know him very well because we were both on 60 Minutes. We were stablemates, and we did very well that night.”

July 2016 Mr. Trump:

“I have no relationship with Putin.” “Because he has said nice things about me over the years.” “called me a genius”

Donald Trump, Jr – 2008

“We see a LOT of MONEY POURING IN from RUSSIA.” “Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets”

No Trump related projects have been completed in Russia.

There was a failed attempt to sell Trump branded Vodka.

What is the money pouring in from Russia? It could very well be from sales of condos in a Trump Tower or something else?

Tax Returns would reveal this.

Of interest from his finacial disclosure: $1,750,000 in revenue from speaking engagements: $1,350,000 from ACN, Inc a relationship marketing firm for 3 speeches.

Why does Mr. Trump insist that Russia is not behind the hacking that has happened within the US? Even after 14 confirmations from various security organizations.

Why did Mr. Trump in a press conference encourage Russia to hack Secretary Clinton’s emails and to send them over?

Then it happens, begs the question: Did Mr. Trump already know the Russians could and would do it?

Is Mr. Trump the Russians’ investment?

2014 Mr. Trump on interview with Irish TV Channel “If I decide to run for office I will produce my tax returns absolutely.”

Why won’t he release his returns?

 Statue of Liberty

The first colony Jamestown, Virginia, 1607.

Many of the people who settled in the New World came to escape religious persecution.

Statue of Liberty: “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore…”

Since 9/11, the U.S. has admitted 784,000 refugees into the country.

According to the Migration Policy Institute, during that time, exactly three refugees were found to have links to terrorism — so, approximately .00038 percent of refugees in the U.S. have had ties to terrorism.

Two of these refugees were caught while trying to leave the country to join extremist groups abroad. All three are currently in prison. Refugee Vetting Process Summary: Takes about 2 years for the process to complete.

They are put under an intense process of: Identifying Documents; Biographic Intake; Application is created; Screened by National Counter-terrorism Center/ Intelligence Community; FBI; Dept Homeland Security; State Department – Screening looks for security risks, connection to bad actors, outstanding criminal or migration warrants; Interviews; Fingerprints; Medical Screening; Determination of best resettlement location; Travel through International Organization for entry into the United States after given approval from all above.

Undocumented Immigrants paid $11.7B in state and local taxes roughly 8% of their incomes.

In contrast, the top 1% of taxpayers pay an average tax rate 5.4%.

Some of the jobs they do are hard labor including: farming at harvest, dish washers, sanitation, gardening, domestic. Who will replace them in the work force? Who will do these jobs? How will we replace the tax contributions? How will the revenue to the economy be replaced?

Where will all the jobs come from to drive both a 4% increase to the GDP and the deportation of Mexicans?

The Constitution of the United States

Excerpts from Republican Party Platform:

We believe America is exceptional because of our historic role — first as refuge, then as defender, and now as exemplar of liberty for the world to see.

We affirm, as did the Declaration of Independence: that all are created equal, endowed by their Creator with inalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

We believe in the Constitution as our founding document.

We believe the Constitution was written not as a flexible document, but as our enduring covenant.

We believe our constitutional system, limited government, separation of powers, federalism, and the rights of the people must be preserved un-compromised for future generations.

We believe political freedom and economic freedom are indivisible. When political freedom and economic freedom are separated, both are in peril; when united, they are invincible.

We reaffirm the Constitution’s fundamental principles: limited government, separation of powers, individual liberty, and the rule of law.

We denounce bigotry, racism, anti-Semitism, ethnic prejudice, and religious intolerance. Therefore, we oppose discrimination based on race, sex, religion, creed, disability, or national origin and support statutes to end such discrimination.

As the Party of Abraham Lincoln, we must continue to foster solutions to America’s difficult challenges when it comes to race relations today. We continue to encourage equality for all citizens and access to the American Dream.

The party of Lincoln is described as progressive leaning.

We affirm that all legislation, regulation, and official actions must conform to the Constitution’s original meaning as understood at the time the language was adopted.

My Opinion:

This is restrictive and does not allow an evolution of thought that coincides with the people.

The Constitution of the United States

We oppose any restrictions or conditions that would discourage citizens from participating in the public square or limit their ability to promote their ideas, such as requiring private organizations.

We support repeal of federal restrictions on political parties in McCain-Feingold, raising or repealing contribution limits, protecting the political speech of advocacy groups, corporations, and labor unions, and protecting political speech on the internet.

We support repeal of federal restrictions on political parties in McCain-Feingold, raising or repealing contribution limits, protecting the political speech of advocacy groups, corporations, and labor unions, and protecting political speech on the internet.

We support firearm reciprocity legislation to recognize the right of law-abiding Americans to carry firearms to protect themselves and their families in all 50 states. We support constitutional carry statutes and salute the states that have passed them.

We oppose ill-conceived laws that would restrict magazine capacity or ban the sale of the most popular and common modern rifle. We also oppose any effort to deprive individuals of their right to keep and bear arms without due process of law.

My Opinion:

WHY? Constitutional Carry Statutes Really? There is no plausible reason to justify this. Children and Innocent Citizens Continue to Die at the hand of individuals who shouldn’t own a gun.

Why not support “No Fly, No Buy”?

Why does anyone need a firearm IMMEDIATELY! Shouldn’t Law Enforcement be the first point of contact? I imagine many Law Enforcement Officers would be alive today if we have reasonable gun control legislation. There is not 1 plausible reason for an ordinary citizen to own firearms that are automatic or semi-automatic.

If Bushmaster X-14 was not readily available, how many of the children killed at Sandy Hook would still be alive today?

The Constitution of the United States

The Constitution’s guarantee that no one can “be deprived of life, liberty or property” deliberately echoes the Declaration of Independence’s proclamation that “all” are “endowed by their Creator” with the inalienable right to life.

Accordingly, we assert the sanctity of human life and affirm that the unborn child has a fundamental right to life which cannot be infringed. We support a human life amendment to the Constitution and legislation to make clear that the Fourteenth Amendment’s protections apply to children before birth. We support funding for ultrasounds and adoption assistance.

My Opinion:

The Constitution of the United States

We oppose policies and laws that create a financial incentive for or encourage cohabitation. Moreover, marriage remains the greatest antidote to child poverty.

The 40 percent of children who now are born outside of marriage are five times more likely to live in poverty than youngsters born and raised by a mother and father in the home.

Nearly three-quarters of the $450 billion government annually spends on welfare goes to single-parent households. This is what it takes for a governmental village to raise a child, and the village is doing a tragically poor job of it.

The data and the facts lead to an inescapable conclusion: Every child deserves a married mom and dad. The reality remains that millions of American families do not have the advantages that come with that structure.

We honor the courageous efforts of those who bear the burdens of parenting alone and embrace the principle that all Americans should be treated with dignity and respect.

The Constitution of the United States

But respect is not enough. Our laws and our government’s regulations should recognize marriage as the union of one man and one woman and actively promote married family life as the basis of a stable and prosperous society.

For that reason, as explained elsewhere in this platform, we do not accept the Supreme Court’s redefinition of marriage and we urge its reversal, whether through judicial reconsideration or a constitutional amendment returning control over marriage to the states.

We oppose government discrimination against businesses or entities which decline to sell items or services to individuals for activities that go against their religious views about such activities. There is much more go to the RNC website to see the entire platform.

My Opinion:

1 John 4:20-21 20  If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot[a] love God whom he has not seen. 21  And this commandment we have from him: whoever loves God must also love his brother.

My Opinion:

We are at war and unfortunately there are casualties.

Where is the outrage?

Where are the investigations?

During President George W. Bush’s Administration: 13 attacks on various of our embassies and consulates, regrettably 66 people killed; 3 American Diplomats killed; 22 Embassy employees killed. Number of investigations: 0

During President Ronald Reagan’s Administration: 10 attacks on Embassies; 318 people killed; 1 US Ambassador Killed; 18 CIA Officers Killed; 254 Marines Killed; Number of investigations: 1

During President Obama’s Administration: 2 attacks on Embassies; 4 Americans Killed; Number of investigations: 13

To justify the Iraq War – we were told about WMD’s. There were none.

A private email server was used during President George W. Bush’s Administration: 22M emails missing.

They refused to comply with a congressional subpoena.

My opinion: This was the most disgusting display of manipulation to discredit President Obama. Interesting that none of the candidates were required to present their birth certificate during this election.
